What will you do?

As our new Senior Health Data Scientist, you lead real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE) harmonization and data-modeling/machine learning projects from start to finish.

Engage with clients regularly in the co-creation process to ensure development of well-structured Real-World Data / Real-World Evidence data solutions

Have key responsibilities within the overall end-to-end delivery (design, architecture, validation) of our data projects

Contribute to the overall vision and definition of our data products and services

Communicate and share knowledge within the team regularly, via documentation, presentations, and participation in all phases of the Agile process

Coach and mentor junior team members to advance their career and skills

Is this you?

  • You are passionate about supporting our healthcare clients to make evidence-based decisions through analysis of clinical data

  • You have worked in health or life science domain

  • You have a technical background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Science, Physics, Mathematics or related field

  • You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in data analytics

  • You can analyze client requirements and translate them into customized data solutions (e.g., design data models, implement quality control processes)

  • You have experience analyzing, extracting and presenting meaningful insights from data

  • You are a confident communicator, both verbally and in writing, and are keen on sharing your ideas to solving complex problems

  • You have an affinity for big data, statistics, data science and data modeling

  • You enjoy keeping busy with multiple projects at the same time

  • You can convey your thoughts in English. French, Dutch and other languages a plus

Even better if

  • You have experience with ETL design and development

  • You have the capability to program in Python and SQL, or you have the willingness to learn Python and SQL

  • You have experience in applying other tools and techniques (Python statistics and data-wrangling libraries like Numpy, Pandas, etc.) to optimize data solutions and processes

  • You have knowledge of medical terminologies and controlled vocabularies (ICD-10, SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm, etc.) used in healthcare data

  • You have used Machine Learning methods for creating prediction models based on observational data

  • You have worked with OMOP CDM and OHDSI tools and libraries
